My name is Rhett Rautsaw and I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Washington State University and the University of South Florida working with Drs. Andrew Storfer and Mark Margres. I received my Ph.D. from Clemson University with Dr. Christopher L. Parkinson.

I consider myself an integrative biologists studying a variety of questions across ecology, evolution, genomics, and conservation. I am primarily interested in the interplay between ecology and evolution through the examination of species interactions. To do this, I predominantly focus on two systems:

1) Snake Speciation & Venom Evolution

2) Tasmanian Devils & a Transmissible Cancer
